This site showcases 12 photographs taken by Neil Macmillan on the West Side and South Lochs districts of the island during June, 1998. The Isle of Lewis is part of the Outer Hebrides group, off the northwest coast of Scotland. The principal town is Stornoway. All other settlements are villages varying in population from only a few residents to over 100. Update: New Isle of Lewis photographs from June, 2003. Click on Isle of Lewis.
The background image on each picture page was prepared from a closeup of rock photographed near the village of Cromore in South Lochs.
